What is new in the Helium Polish 1:1 version 3.87 (build 91)
and Helium Polish 1:2 version 3.87 (build 92)?

November 25, 2006 - Helium Polish 1:1 version 3.87 (build 91) and Helium Polish 1:2 version 3.87 (build 92) are released.

The features of new release:

  1. New parameters Width-wise culet shift ratio / Length-wise culet shift ratio are included for all cuttings with offset estimation
  2. Corner angle width/length parameters are included for Step Cuts
  3. Round report section Painting is renamed as Paint / Dug
  4. Text descriptions of parameter Painting are renamed
  5. Calculation of Princess and Any Cut cuttings are improved
  6. Saving a model into free GemAdviser format *.GEM (With out creating HTML report)
  7. New GIA_PCT_2006 appraiser of cut quality is included in to the program.
  8. Internal symmetry appraiser is updated
    • Added symmetry estimations for all parameters with deviations from average (for RBC reports)
    • The ranges of estimations are modified
  9. External symmetry appraiser

1. New parameters Width-wise culet shift ratio / Length-wise culet shift ratio are included for all cuttings with offset estimation

Culet shift ratio can be estimated relatively width, length and main diameter for fancies and relatively main diameter for round cuttings.

Now the "painting, text" parameter may be one of the following depending on the "painting,notches" (average) value:

(0.0 - 0.1) Negligible
(0.1 - 0.3) Very small
(0.3 - 0.8) Small
(0.8 - 1.2) Moderate
(1.2 - 1.8) Large
(1.8 - 2.2) Very large
(2.2 - oo) Maximum

Open "Export model simple" window

Save model in to the *.GEM format

7. New GIA_PCT_2006 appraiser of cut quality is included to the program

  • Download archive gia_PCT_2006.zip from our web-site;
  • Unzip files GIA_PCT_2006.txt and GIA_PCT_2006_Brilliant.txt from downloaded archive in the Helium program folder;
  • Insert the command line into the file HeliumBat.ini:
    LoadParsAppraiser GIA_PCT_2006.txt

9. External symmetry appraiser

You can include external symmetry appraiser. It is similar to internal appraiser (see previous section).

  • Download Symmetry.txt file from our web-site;
  • Copy file Symmetry.txt in the Helium program folder;
  • Insert the command line into the file HeliumBat.ini:
    LoadParsAppraiser Symmetry.txt
